![]() ![]() Her Excellency Dr Joyce Banda, former President of the Republic of Malawi, and Honourable Nancy Tembo, M.P., Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Malawi, joined the people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in commemorating the Pakistani National Day which falls on 23rd of March every year. During the commemoration ceremony which was held in Blantyre on 1st April, 2022, Honourable Tembo called on the Pakistani Community in Malawi to join government in the fight against corruption in order to create a conducive environment for Foreign Direct Investment(FDI) that will benefit Malawi.
Honourable Tembo highighted that, as a country on a quest to become an inclusively wealthy, and self-reliant nation by the year 2063, Malawi was ready to learn from and partner with Pakistan in implementing flagship projects that are in the Malawi 2063 First 10 Year Implementation Plan.
Malawi and Pakistan enjoy cordial relations based on common interests and mutual respect since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1965.
