Honourable Nancy Tembo, M.P., Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Malawi, receiving in audience Ms. Angele Makombo N'tumba, SADC Deputy Executive Secretary for Regional Integration, on 9th February, 2024. Ms. N'tumba is in Malawi to participate in the Programme for improving Fisheries Governance and Blue Economy Trade Corridors and to attend a handover ceremony of equipment for the Profishblue Project in Sengabay, from 5th to 9th February, 2024. As part of the process, Ms. N'tumba called on Hon. Tembo to express SADC's appreciation to the Malawi Government for its contribution to the SADC fisheries sector. Ms. N'tumba also thanked Malawi for ratifying various SADC Protocols, but requested for ratification of three additional protocols affecting tourism development, seed varieties, and plant diversity.
